Renault Multimedia “MediaNAV evolution” can perform using wired Android Auto connection.
Note: For wired Android Auto connection, use the USB cable came along with the phone box.

On the smartphone
- Unlock the phone & download the “Android Auto” application. (For Android 9 or below, it is recommended to get the Android Auto app from Play store. For Android 10 or above Android Auto is an inbuilt application which comes along with your smartphone.)
- Turn on Bluetooth and mobile internet to establish connection with Audio Head Unit. Then select « OK » to acknowledge your first-time connection
- Turn Google Assistance ON.
- Through Voice Recognition -
1. On your smartphone, say “Hey Google, open assistance settings” by press & holding the Home icon.
2. Then, choose “General” tab to turn Google Assistance ON/OFF.
- Through Settings icon -
1. Launch the Google application from your Android mobile.
2. Choose “More” from the right bottom-corner and select "Settings” option.
3. Then, select “Google Assistant”.
4. Under Assistant setting, choose “General” tab to turn Google Assistant ON/OFF.
On the Head Unit
- Press the power button from the Audio Head Unit to establish the Android Auto connection
- Acknowledge the popup message by pressing “Android Auto” during your first-time connections.
- Press “Android Auto” icon from the audio home screen to enter into the Android Auto interface.
- To exit from the Android Auto interface, touch the “Renault” icon.
Use Voice Recognition
To wakeup Google Assistant, say “OK GOOGLE” by pressing the voice control (VR) button on the Audio Head Unit or press voice control (VR) button from the steering wheel. (for applicable models only)
Note: To use this feature, it is mandatory to turn ON Google Assistance in your smartphone.

On the Smartphone
1. Apple CarPlay is an inbuilt application, and you can connect your phone with the Audio Head unit.
2. To establish a wired connection, Touch « Allow » when the popup message appears.
3. To Turn Siri ON/OFF
a. Press “Settings” icon from the Home Screen.
b. Choose “Siri&Search” and turn ON “Listen for Hey Siri” and “Allow Siri”
Note: Option to turn ON “Siri” may varies based on iOS version and, it is mandatory to turn ON the Bluetooth and the Mobile Internet
On the Head Unit
1. Press ON/OFF Power button from the Audio Head Unit to establish the Apple CarPlay connection.
2. Acknowledge the popup message by pressing ”Apple CarPlay” during your first-time connections.
3. Press ”Apple CarPlay” icon from the Audio Home Screen to enter into the Apple CarPlay interface.
4. To exit from Apple CarPlay interface, touch ”Renault” icon.
Use Voice Recognition
To wakeup Siri, Say ”Hey Siri” by pressing the Voice control (VR) button on the Audio Head Unit or press Voice control (VR) button from the steering wheel (for applicable models)
Note: To use this feature, it is mandatory to turn ON “Siri” in your iPhone.
Press the power button from the Audio Facia to establish the Bluetooth connection.
Ensure that the customer’s phone is in “Bluetooth visible mode”
For iPhone users: Go to Settings / Bluetooth / enable Bluetooth, you can read “now discoverable as”
For Android users: Go to Settings / Connections / Bluetooth / “make my device detectable”
On the Head Unit
- Touch “Settings” icon from the audio home screen.
- Choose “Connectivity” tab and then select "Search for Bluetooth device” from the Audio Head Unit to search for Bluetooth devices.
On the Smartphone
- Once Bluetooth is enabled, touch « Pair » on your smartphone.
- Choose the services which you want to activate:
- Phone calls
- Media audio
- Contact sharing
Note: Once pairing is completed, your phone will be automatically be connected until you unpair the phone.
Unpair a device
- Touch “Settings” icon from the audio home screen.
- Touch “Connectivity” tab, then choose “View Bluetooth device list” from the connectivity setting.
- Touch the “Delete” icon in front of the device you want to remove from the list.
- Touch « OK » to confirm.
Save your favorite Radio station
- Press the power button from the Audio Head Unit to establish Radio option.
- Touch “Radio” icon from the audio home screen.
- Touch “List” tab or search a station by its frequency.
- Select the station of your choice.
- Go to the “Presets” tab.
- Touch and hold the empty slot to save the playing station as a preset.
Play music via USB device
- Plug USB device in the USB socket.
- Touch “Media” icon from the audio home screen and select “USB” option from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the music which you want to listen from the “List” tab.
Play music via Bluetooth device
- Connect your smart phone through Bluetooth connection.
- Touch “Media” icon from audio home screen and select “BT” option from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the music which you want to listen from the “List” tab.
Create your own audio settings
- Touch “Setting” icon from the audio home screen
- Touch the “Audio” tab.
- Touch “BAL/FAD” option and adjust the settings according to your own preferences: “Balance/Fader”, “Tone control” (“Bass”, “Midrange”, “Treble”).
Radio Data System (RDS) feature (for applicable models)
- RDS is an advanced feature in audio unit which enables FM radio stations to send additional information about the channel.
- Through AF (Alternating Frequency), the system will automatically change its frequency based on the location.
- If you feel uncomfortable about the FM/AM channels jumping on its own, you can disable this feature.
a. Touch “Radio” icon in audio home screen and choose “Option” tab
b. Then choose RDS “ON/OFF” to enable or disable RDS feature.

Renault Multimedia “Display Link” can perform both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay connection.
Note: For wired Apple CarPlay connection, use the USB cable came along with the phone box. Wireless Apple CarPlay connections support only for Display Link. (for applicable models)
On the iPhone
1. Apple CarPlay is an inbuilt application, and you can connect your iPhone either wired or wirelessly with the Audio Head unit.
2. To establish the connection, Touch « Allow » when the popup message appears.
3. To Turn Siri ON/OFF
1. Press “Settings” icon from the Home Screen.
2. Choose “Siri&Search” and turn ON “Listen for Hey Siri” and “Allow Siri”

3. Press “Apple CarPlay” icon from the Audio Home Screen to enter the Apple CarPlay interface.
4. To exit from Apple CarPlay interface, touch ”Renault” icon.
Use Voice Recognition

Create your own audio settings
- Touch “Setting” icon from the audio home screen
- Touch the “Audio” tab.
- Touch “BAL/FAD” option and adjust the settings according to your own preferences: “Balance/Fader”, “Tone control” (“Bass”, “Midrange”, “Treble”).
Radio Data System (RDS) feature (for applicable models)

Connecting your iPhone to the radio:
On the Radio
- Press the power button on the radio.
- Press "Tel", then select "Pair telephone" and use 4-digit PIN from the radio to pair a smart phone. (for first-time connection)
- Press "Tel" and select "Scan Device". Radio scans the available Bluetooth devices and lists them after scan completion.
- Select your phone on this list.
- Then, the radio will display a message “ Connected”
On the iPhone
- Download the “R&Go” application from the App store.
- Choose “Settings”, select “Bluetooth” and the turn ON the Bluetooth.
- Enter the 4-digit PIN displayed in the Radio on your iPhone.
- Touch « Allow » to establish the connection.
Connecting your Android Smartphone to the radio
On the Radio
- Press the power button on the radio.
- Press "Tel", then select "Pair telephone" and use 4-digit PIN from the radio to pair a smart phone. (for first-time connection)
- Press "Tel" and select "Scan Device". Radio scans the available Bluetooth devices and lists them after scan completion.
- Select your phone on this list.
- Then, the radio will display a message “ Connected”
On the iPhone
- Download the “R&Go” application from the Play Store.
- Choose “Settings”, select “Bluetooth” and the turn ON the Bluetooth.
- Enter the 4-digit PIN displayed in the Radio on your Android Smatphone.
- Touch « Allow » to establish the connection
Connect your smartphone to the Radio unit through Bluetooth.
On the Smartphone
- Press “+” icon from the smartphone and choose from the page to create a short cut. (ex. Phone contact, calendar, Radio preset stations, etc.) Note: We can be able to create three shortcut pages. (each page contains six shortcuts)
- To close the shortcut page, press “X” icon.
To delete a shortcut
- Press and hold the icon which you to want to delete.
- Press “Delete” icon to delete the short cuts.
Connect your smartphone to the Radio unit through Bluetooth.
On the Smartphone
- Press and hold the widget available in the widget screens.
- Then, drag and drop the widget to the free space.
- To close the shortcut page, press “X” icon.
Note: You will be able to create up to four widget pages.
To delete a Widget
- Press and hold the widget which you want to delete.
- Press “Delete” icon to delete the widget from the widget screen.
Connect your smartphone to the Radio unit through Bluetooth.
On the Smartphone
- Press “Navigation” icon from the home screen.
- Then, press “Settings” and choose the navigation application that you would like to save as a default.
Connect your smartphone to the Radio unit through Bluetooth.
On the Smartphone
- Press “Settings” icon from the home screen.
- Choose “Tutorial” option to see everything on the R&GO application.
Note: R&GO application will provide tutorial during your first-time installation and you need to acknowledge it by pressing « Quit »
Connect your smartphone to the Radio unit through Bluetooth.
On the Smartphone
- Press “Navigation” icon in the R&Go application.
- Select “Go to my car” icon.
- Vehicle location will be displayed along with a route
guidance.
Note: Vehicle location is stored using the last stored GPS location. User can use this option only when the smartphone is disconnected from the Radio connect R&Go.
